Kathy May Wilkinson

Kathy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured every moment of love and joy with her daughter Amanda, who was and always will be her strength and her world. Kathy was determined and disciplined in everything she did: getting her university degree, working, and making her 'mark' in the world. She loved the cats and living in the countryside (even in the harsh Alberta winters!). Friends and family will always remember her dry & honest sense of humour (or not), her giggles and her laughter.

Kathy would say, "I am sorry for the sudden goodbye but I was suddenly asked to come and I choose to go, so remember me with smiles and laughter for that is how I will remember you. If you can only remember me with sorrow and tears, then don't remember me at all...Now, let's get on with the party and not make this a drag".

Kathy is survived by her daughter Amanda (Rachel) Wardle; brothers Mark (Pamela) and Edward (June) Wilkinson; sister Vicky (Aruna); nieces Lacy, Kayla, Natalie, Amber, Erin and Cheryl (Rich); nephews Jason (Shantelle) and Matthew (Carly); grandnieces Emma and Ashley; great-niece and nephews Aiden, Jackson, Violette and Anderson.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents Edith and Ted Wilkinson.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Parkland Funeral Chapel.
