We are sad to announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, Lorraine Dianne Murray, of Stony Plain, AB on August 20, 2026, at the age of 79 years. She was born July 8, 1947, in Wynyard Saskatchewan, later moving with her husband, Rod, to Stony Plain, AB, where they settled and raised their family. A person of unwavering faith and devotion, Lorraine lived her life guided by her love of God, family and Ukrainian Catholic Traditions. We take comfort in knowing that she has now been called home to the Lord and rests peacefully in his loving arms.
She is survived by her loving husband Rodney of 59 years, her children Brian, Tracey and Darcy (Heather), her Grandchildren Boden (Mackenzie), Hailee, Chase and Hannah as well as her loving great grandchildren Jacob, Scarlett and Mallory. Her three sisters Helen, Sylvia (Ken) and Patricia, numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Nettie Storozuk and her sister Agnes.
Funeral service is being held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on August 31, 2026 at 11AM. Lunch to follow at the church. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, 57 Century Road, Spruce Grove. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westview Health Center.
