Heaven gained a remarkable soul when Mary Patricia Crocker passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 83.
Mary will be truly missed by her loving husband Jim, her children Sharon, Al (Violet), Marcel, Sandra (Malcolm), daughter in law Lisa and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary is predeceased by her parents Molly and Edgar, her bothers Wilfred and Jerry, her sister Barbara and son Shon.
Mary was born in Cornerbrook, NFLD and that is where she met the love of her life, Jim, when they were young teenagers. After dating a while they got married and eventually moved to a better life in Faro, Yukon where they raised their family.
While living in the Cold North for many yrs, she took part in curling and was quite the rider on her skidoo.
In 1984, Mary and Jim decided to make Alberta their permanent home. She was a huge fan of WWF/WWE Wrestling but still could not get the nerve to ask for Chris Benoit’s autograph one day at WEM, she was too cute. She also loved watching the Oilers, especially during the many Stanley Cup Finals in the 80s. When she wasn’t watching tv, you could find her at the local Bingo Hall, tending to her flowers, baking a cake or just sitting on her deck listening to country western music enjoying a diet coke and a smoke.
The Crocker family would like to thank The Good Samaritan Nurses and Staff for all their love and support during her last few years.
Now that her dementia is over, she must be so happy to be with her baby boy Shon who was waiting for her at the Pearly Gates with Open Arms.
