Mary Jane Bicknell

It is with deep sadness the family of Mrs. Mary Jane Bicknell of Wabamun, AB announces her sudden passing on June 16, 2026 at the age of 69 years.

Mary Jane will be remembered for her love of the outdoors. She was happiest surrounded by motion and adventure, whether she was on a motorcycle, boat, snowmobile or quad. Some of her happiest moments were spent gathered around the fire, visiting with friends and family, talking, laughing and listening to music. One of her greatest delights was dancing with her granddaughter, creating memories they both treasured. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mary Jane and Ward fostered 30 children over a 19 year period.

Mary Jane will forever be loved and remembered by her husband and best friend of 56 years, Ward; her sons: Wayne (Rebecca), Michael (Shari), and Chris; her grandchildren Abigail & Zakary; her sisters: Charlotte (Frank), Linda (Dave), Audrey, and Clara (Mike); her brothers James (Jean) & Les as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mary Jane cherished her close relationship with her brother in law: Clark, and sisters in law: Jane (Paul) and Norma (Kim), with whom she shared many years of love and support.

Mary Jane was predeceased by her parents Bert and Ethel; her son Mickey; her sisters Gwen & Marilyn and by her brother Ryan.
