

1937 - 2025
On August 5th 2025, Rosalie Spicer(Ziegler,Reschke) of Stony Plain passed away at the age of 88. Rosalie passed peacefully in her sleep at the Westview Health Centre in Stony Plain AB.
Rosalie was predeceased by her husband Norman and her eldest son Lorne. She leaves to mourn her daughter Angie (Brian) her sons Darren and Randy (Christine),
8 grandchildren: Jolene, Evan, Mystery, Jason, Tyson, Wyatt, Ryan, Jaclyn and 14 great-grandchildren. Her brothers Kenneth, Erwin, and Larry (Peggy) Ziegler, her sisters Dolores Hoffmann and Sharon (Les) Hibbard and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosalie was born in April 1937 to Christian and Elsie Ziegler in the Stony Plain area. After completing high school in Stony Plain she continued to help on the family farm where she met her husband Norman Reschke at a Thanksgiving party. In September of 1954 she and Norman married, bought a farm at Beach Corner and started their family with the addition of Angie and Lorne. In 1960 they moved to a farm south west of Alberta Beach where they had 2 more children, Darren and Randy. In 1967 they moved the family to the Rich Valley farm. Rosalie remained in the Rich Valley area until 1985 and then started to travel mostly to the USA where she enjoyed the sun and warmth for the better part of 30 years.
Join us in a celebration of Rosalie’s life at the Heritage Park building in the Parkland Room on August 24th at 12:00pm. A light lunch and beverages will be served. Dress casual.
