

It is with love and heartfelt sadness that the family of Nancy Jeanne Gauthier announces her passing on November 12, 2025 in Stony Plain, Alberta at the age of 84 years. Born on October 25, 1941 in Calgary, Alberta, Nancy lived a life full of faith, family devotion, and enduring friendships.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred Gauthier and by her parents Barbara and Victor Richardson. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Trudy (Lloyd); her brother Gary (Pam) and by her sons Don, Bob (Rose) and Dave (whose late wife Doris is fondly remembered). She was a cherished grandmother, extremely proud of her granddaughters Keiana and Kaitlin, for their continued university studies and dancing accomplishments, and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A woman of strong Catholic faith, Nancy faced several health challenges later in life with courage and determination. She had a keen eye for style - always particular about her clothes, shoes, and purses, ensuring everything looked "matchy-matchy". Known affectionately as "Fancy Nancy", she brought grace, humor, and warmth into every room she entered.
Nancy was blessed with a truly extraordinary circle of friends, whose love, laughter and unwavering support enriched her life. Their generosity continues to comfort and assist the family and their presence is deeply appreciated.
She devoted herself to raising three sturdy sons and nurturing those around her with kindness, grace and compassion. Her life was truly well lived - full of faith, love, pride in her family and the joy of lasting friendships.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 200 Boundary Road, Spruce Grove, Alberta within inurnment to follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice.
