The family of Norman Malcolm Langdale is saddened to announce his passing on May 12, 2026, at the age of 70.
Norm is lovingly remembered by his three children, Brad Langdale (Heather), Ryan Langdale (Brianne), and Jodie Langdale (Roman); his former wife and dear friend, Laura Burger; his grandchildren, Luke and Romy; his brother, Gerry Langdale; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Lil Langdale and his sister-in-law, Annette Langdale.
Norm was born on June 3, 1955, in Mayerthorpe, Alberta where he spent most of his life, working as a carpenter for many years. He took pride in his work and the many projects he helped bring to life in the community.
Norm especially enjoyed country living. He appreciated warm, sunny days - always making sure to watch the weather forecast closely, and was happiest when spending time outdoors. He loved gathering with family, sharing stories and memories from years gone by, watching hockey and other sports, and taking drives around Mayerthorpe and the surrounding area. Later in life, he made his home in Stony Plain, Alberta, where he continued to enjoy the people and routines that brought him comfort.
Norm will be remembered for his quiet nature, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Norm's life at the Mayerthorpe Legion on July 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
