Uncle Paul is remembered as a genuine, kind and fun soul. I wont forget a  boyfriend  once commenting on how lucky I was to have such a cool, and fun uncle at age18 (This was during the ACDC days ;)
While I remember having lots of laughs when uncle Paul came to visit -his deep warmth and love  also always came through. He is fondly remembered and Im wishing Debbie, Shane and Haley so much love at this difficult time.

Paul and I had some great fishing times together many moons ago, back in Ontario. Don’t know how old he was; maybe early teens. Anyway, it must have been before he became interested in the other sex because he never turned down a fishing invitation.  Rain or snow, Paul was always game. And he was patient. I don’t ever remember him being the first to say we should go home. One of our favorite spots was what he called “The good old fishin spot.” It was where a small stream near Gamebridge flowed into the Trent Canal, just a few clicks from Lake Simcoe.  We’d go at the end of February, just before Pickerel season closed, providing the ice had melted at the river mouth, so we could cast. Caught some terrific Pickerel there.  Here is a great pic of Paul with his Pickerel on one of the days when we didn’t get skunked. Skunked or not though, we always seemed to have a great time. I’ll always have those special memories of Paul and I fishing. 

We have so enjoyed our weekly visits between your house and ours for happy hour over the past 3 decades.  What laughs we have had over the years and beers.  We will always cherish Paul's friendship and treasure the happy memories and good times we had.

He will be so missed.  No more pain.  Rest in peace dear friend.

Paul was such an easy going person,, .. fond memories of good times at the house,, ,, to this day I can't listen to a "sweet" song without thinking of good old times at the Meade house 😊. Healing hugs to the family,,, Betty Boop( a name Paul gave to me lol) ❤️

Being best friends as a child with Hayley, I definitely saw my fair share of Paul and made many good memories. A few in particular were him always quizzing us on old 50’s/60’s music icons on long drives! (He was also a star at car karokee) I also love how he always insisted I stay for dinner on certain nights (he knew how much I loved his shake and bake chicken and taco nights) Paul and Debbie were very much my second set of parents growing up, I’ll definitely miss my chats with Paul at the mailbox & seeing him drive home blasting his music, without fail he always rolled down the window to say hi and give me the biggest smile. You were an outstanding man Paul. May you rest easy and I’ll miss you very much and cherish our memories and laughter.
