Condolences.  Taylor sounds like I would have joined her team.  I am so sorry life was so short she would have made changes as an MD.

This makes me so so sad to hear this news. My deepest condolences to her family, I know how important you guys were to her 🥺 I met Taylor in the summer of 2016 in Jasper, I even met her dad, brother and little dog. We lived across from each-other for a little bit and became friends immediately. She is such a kind, and beautiful person. She made sure to help me when I really needed it, and I actually lived with her aunt and uncle for a week during that summer. I will never forget that, I was so lucky to have met her. We had a lot of fun that summer. I will always have so much love for her and I’m so sad that I will never get to talk to her again 😔🤍

So so sorry to hear this terribly sad news. Taylor was a force to reckon with! Un unforgettable student! ❤️When she felt strongly about an issue she pursued it with passion. My heart goes out to your family. 🙏

I remember getting to work with Taylor at Cheesecake Cafe; the shifts were always more enjoyable with her there. She was so kind, spirited and confident. I loved talking with her. Conversations with Taylor always left you feeling lighter. My most sincere condolences to the entire Hanna family. May Taylor's memory and impactful accomplishments last forever. Sending love <3

We are so, so sorry for your loss.  It's been a long time since we've seen each other in person (besides a chance meeting a few weeks ago), but please know that the Hanna family are in our thoughts today.

So sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Taylor at all of the Muir Lake Hall Family functions. She was a bright light. You are all in our prayers.

I have known this incredible family since I was in kindergarten. Jackson was one of my greatest friends and i wish we still chatted!. As for Taylor, didn’t matter where I was or what I was doing she would always greet me with a smile and a “how are you doing little one” until it become “ stop growing your all getting taller than me” . Taylor also was my reading buddy for awhile and she was by far the most fun of them all. This news truly hit my heart. She will be missed and her consistent smile. My condolences and prayers with the entire family ❤️

Back in Taylor’s K-9, Ecole Meridian Heights, we had a Basketball Spring League. One year, we were short Grade 9 coaches because so many Grade 8s played on the senior teams.

I decided to reach out to Grade 9s who were not on the teams. As I turned the corner, there at her locker was Taylor. It was like a lightbulb went off and I bounded up to Taylor and told her, “Heh, I want you to coach basketball spring league.”

Taylor went into immediate denial… she did not know the sport… didn’t even like the sport… no way could she coach basketball.

I immediately came back telling her that I wasn’t asking her for her basketball knowledge. I was asking her for her amazing leadership skills. “I can show you a few drills to use in the mini practice, but we really need you for your energy and enthusiasm.”

I’m not sure if Taylor agreed immediately… or we talked again. What I do know was that Taylor was that Taylor coached! She was buying the kids (Grades 4-6) treats and every practice and game, she was there. I can still see her energetically pacing in front of the bench, encouraging kids, making her enthusiasm a team theme. Ever kind and generous in her demeanour and words, those kids loved being on Taylor’s team.  Her confidence and focus were drivers of a great spring.

I patted myself on my own back for seeing that in Taylor, but to be honest, she surpassed anything that I might have anticipated. She was a coaching star.

Later in life, Taylor had some serious illness and was hospitalized. She was in a corner room at the UofA, and I dropped off a copy of Mr. I’s book. Same Taylor. Same spirit. Same appreciation. We visited and ended with a hug, “Come here, Mr. Gibson. We need a hug.”

I retain those memories of this “little pistol” strutting the sidelines in Meridian gym. That same energy and enthusiasm that sent her off on a doctor journey shared generously.

Taylor, you were an amazing roommate! I love you. She was always an encouraging presence. She made my bad days not bad anymore.

Taylor meant the world to me. We may have not been able to be with each other as much as we wanted but the memories we made will stay with me forever. I will always remember our "short" phonecalls that lasted hours and the hugs you have me in new jersey. She was a light in my life and an inspiration to all she encountered.

Taylor's love to help others did not just stop in medicine. Taylor loved to help her fellow colleagues and peers get to where they wanted and needed to be. I was fortunate enough to sit next to her every lecture, study with her most days, and tutor the younger terms with her. Many of our tutees reached out to express their condolences but also shared how much Taylor meant to them and how much of an inspiration she was. She was a true beacon of light for many of us and I promise to continue on my medical journey and make her proud. Love you and miss you Tay.
