Violet May Criss

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Violet passed away on August 19th, 2012 leaving behind those who loved her deeply saddened. Daughter Dawn (Jay) of Spring Lake, daughter Debra (Scott) children Kylee and Carter of Stony Plain and son Darcy of Leduc morn the loss of a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother.

Violet is predeceased by her husband of 35 years Donald, her parents Louisa and Harold and will be remembered with deep affection by her sister Lilas (Jim) and children, extended family, countless friends and colleagues who she touched in so many ways.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Violet made her home with her husband and family in an acreage in Winterburn. Violet worked for many years as a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, finishing her career at the Westview Regional Hospital in Stony Plain. Violet was very fond of animals and dearly loved her many pets. She regularly enjoyed camping, spending time in the mountains, and skiing.
