On December 28, 2021 Walter passed peacefully from this life to his heavenly home. Walter was born January 9, 1930 and is survived by his wife Loraine; sons, Scott (Debbie), Darryl (Charlene) and Tim (Valerie); grandchildren, Amy, Michael (Ginni), Heather, Daniel (Chloe) and Elise (Robert); sister, Loretta McNeill (Allan); sisters-in-law, Reta and Margaret, along with nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Barbara; sisters, Clara (John) and Elizabeth (Heinz Brauer) and brothers, William (Herta), Albert and Donald.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with a maximum of 50 people attending at one time.
Due to covid restrtictions, a private family service will take place on Wednesday, January 5 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Stony Plain, Alberta with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
