Bill Williams, 70, was born on May 13, 1955, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, at 4:30 a.m., surrounded by love and family.
Bill’s life was shaped by music, hard work, and people. A man of music with rhythm in his soul and a heart full of song, his guitar was a constant companion, traveling countless miles with him and serving as a vessel for creativity, comfort, and a way to share a piece of himself. A born tinkerer, Bill was always the first to lend a hand whenever work needed doing. He was happiest surrounded by people, making friends wherever he went. He loved to tease, always ready with a joke or a sharp one-liner, often accompanied by a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He enjoyed adventures on the water and creating lasting memories with those he loved.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Lorraine - the love of his life and his best friend. From the moment they met, their bond was lifelong and he embraced the Thomas family as his own. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Paula (Brad); and his son, Billy (Kate). He was a devoted grandfather to Kolton, Parker, Hannah, Amelia, Mabel, and Nixon, and a proud great-grandfather to Krypton. Bill also leaves behind his brother, Bob (Dory), extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Larry and Shirley; his brothers, John, Bruce, and David; and his father-in-law, George.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date, and the family looks forward to honoring his memory with all who knew and loved him.
The family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Bill’s memory. Bill touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
