Catherine G. Lent passed away October 9, 2010. Catherine was born in Suffern, NY July 3, 1931 to Dorothy (Conklin) and James Gannon she was one of 13 children. She was predeceased by her husband George R. Lent in 2003. Catherine retired after 25 years from Northern Manor Nursing Home as Laundry Manager. She was known for her ability to make people laugh and for being a helping hand to all who crossed her path. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Mann and Florence Conklin, sons Kenneth Conklin and Frederick Conklin Jr. Loving Grandmother of eight grandchildren, Great-Grandmother of 12 great grandchildren, as well as Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by son James A.Conklin and daughter Helen Walker. Family will receive friends and relatives Thursday October 14,2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Michael J Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY. Service will be held Friday October 15, 2010 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Brick Church Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
