Eric McMahon

Eric McMahon of Stony Point, NY, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022. Eric was a lifelong resident of Rockland County, born on December 26, 1939, to Claire Rose. Eric was a life member of the Immaculate Conception Church and a member of its Men’s Club from the beginning.

Eric was a dedicated public servant. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 – 1967, served the town of Stony Point as one of the first group of constables and part-time police officers, and retired from the Rockland County Highway Department as a general foreman with 44 years of service. He was a devoted family man, lovingly married to his wife Dolores for nearly 51 years.

He is survived by his wife Dolores; his daughter Kristine (Judd) Mashaw; his niece Donnamarie DeGraw; his grand-nephew Todd Damas and brother Charles (Diane) Rose. He is also survived by his in-laws, many more nieces and nephews, and their children. His smiling eyes and unselfish generosity will be missed by all.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from noon – 2pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY, after a Catholic Mass at 11 am, in Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, NY.
