James T. Hurley of Tomkins Cove N.Y.75 years old passed away peacefully at home on May 1,2016. James was born in Doodletown, N.Y. on May 10,1940 to Edna ( Stalter) & James P. Hurley. After graduating from High School he went to work at Palisades Interstate Park Commission and retired with 45 years of service. He is survived by the love of his life of 53 Judy and his son Joseph.
Along with his parents he is predeceased by his daughter Kathleen and his sister Edna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, treasured friends.
He was a past Captain of Stony Point Ambulance Corp. as well as a life member. He was an active member of the breakfast club at Gennarro's. He was avid fisherman and also enjoyed yard sales and going to the casinos.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from to 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point N.Y. Services at the Funeral Home @ 11 am on Thursday with interment at St. Johns in the Wilderness, Stony Point N.Y.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Living Hope Fellowship in Stony Point, N.Y. or United Hospice of Rockland.
