James Moran

James M. Moran of Stony Point, NY, 76 years old, was born in the Bronx, NY on November 11, 1935 to Julia (Kelly) and Michael Moran. After a long and courageous battle with cancer he passed away peacefully on October 2, 2012. He is survived by his devoted wife Julia (Lundy), his loving children, Theresa Dove and husband Michael, James and wife Donna (Lynch). He was a proud and loving pop pop to Jimmy, Conor, Patrick and Ryan. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph (wife Eileen) and William. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Smith and brother Eugene. He will be missed by his family, friends and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a retired NYPD Police Officer (20th Pct.) for 22 years and a Federal Reserve Police Officer in East Rutherford, NJ. He was an usher in Immaculate Conception for many years, member of Parish Men's Club, Rockland County Shields, 1013, FOP of New Jersey, and NYPD Emerald Society. He will be missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and all who knew him.

Family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 73 North Liberty Drive, Stony Point, NY. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception 9:30am on Saturday. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
