

Born in Trenton, NJ, he moved to Hobe Sound 22 years ago, coming from Lawrenceville, NJ.
Arthur retired as Regional Vice President for National Westminster Bank in Trenton; he had also worked for First Jersey National Bank Central; and Broad Street National Bank.
During his career he assisted with development of affordable housing on Middle Rose Street in conjunction with JP Affordable Housing Inc and Roy Benjamin.
Arthur was a past president and member of the Trenton Optimist Club; had served as Chairman of Trenton Commons Commission, planner and director of Trenton Downtown Corporation; was creator and producer of Trenton’s Heritage Days Festival and past member of the Mayor’s Economic Development Advisory Committee and subcommittee on housing.
He served in the NJ National Guard for five years.
Arthur served on the Jamestown Property Owners Association Board of Directors and was a past president.
He enjoyed golfing and had played at Heritage Ridge, Lost Lake and Summerville Country Club. He also enjoyed horse racing and had owned a racehorse as well.
Arthur managed a men’s softball team in New Jersey.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Christl Becker; loving daughter, Michelle Baruffaldi and husband, Marc of Clarks Summit, PA; cherished granddaughters, Gina and Anna; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Max Becker and sisters, Jean Bayless and Kaye Hartnett.
A Memorial Service remembering and celebrating Arthur’s life will begin at 11 AM, June 7, 2014 at Young and Prill Chapel, Stuart, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arthur’s name to your favorite charity.
