Charlie will be so missed by his Honor Flight family. So honored that after his Guardian service to so many veterans, he finally accepted to fly his so deserved flight as a Veteran. 
I will miss seeing your smiling face at so many of our events but I know you will still be serving others  even more now! RIP my friend, You deserve it!!

I remember names of the veterans who I assigned to their Honor Flights better than faces, with a few exceptions. Charlie was a part of Honor Flight and I remembered him, and he will be missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Caron and family.  I knew Charlie through Honor Flight.  It went without saying that Caron would always be at the Admin Center in the wee hours of the morning as well as late in the evening to welcome Charlie home from his many Honor Flights. After flying many times as a guardian for another veteran, Honor Flight finally got to honor Charlie for HIS service.

There is so much to say about Charlie and I probably won't do him justice.
He and Caron were dear friends through the years and I cherish every memory that we made together.
He had such a challenging sense of humor and I could never keep up with him.
He was kind, thoughtful, generous and "frugal".
He collected things that he thought he might be able to use, most of it junk but to him they were treasures.
He was the treasure to so many.
He was a patriot, he loved the USA.
He fought  for us, he went on so many honor flights to show veterans that they were special.
He was special to so many people and especially to me.
I loved him dearly and I will miss him so very much.
My deepest sympathies to Caron and the rest of his family.
I hope that there are a lot of  yard sales in Heaven!!!

I was so sorry to hear about Charlie’s passing.  My condolences to his family and loved ones.  I’m happy to say I had the privilege of racing against Charlie when he was a member of the St, Lucie Sailing Club.  Besides remembering an incident where he went “shrimping” with his spinnaker during one race, I remember him bringing his boat into the Deck Marina before the race for lunch and after to enjoy pitchers of beer and relive the day’s race.   Charlie was always friendly and funny and a pleasure to be around.  He will be missed by many.  May his memory be a blessing.

My deepest sympathy to Caron and Charlie’s family.  He was an inspiration to all those in uniform.  He was a “hero” to many he rescued not only in the Korean War, but in his police duties.  He will be sorely missed. 
 I have fond memories of being at the helm of Victoria while Charlie told me what to do during our races with the Stuart Sailing Club’s Saturday afternoon races, always followed by celebrations of our frequent first place wins with pitchers of Beer at the Deck Restaurant. Occasionally they had music adding to the spirited nature and we’d once again overstay our visitation!  Caron, if she had not joined us, always waited patiently.

Charlie was my Bingo buddy at the St Luke's Episcopal Church. His favorite expression was “ I was so close”. 

I'll miss his friendship.

Charlie was a very dear friend and we will miss him immensely. We sailed together for years with the St Lucie Sailing Club, winning many races.. We cruised together with Charlie and Caron throughout the Caribbean for many years. Charlie was a Guardian for Honor Flight Veterans taking Vets to DC 19 times! The 20th time his daughter Wendy took him and he was the veteran! Charlie was a veteran of the Korean War. He climbed and fixed radio towers the thought of which scares the heck out of me. Charlie was fearless. he toured the country in his truck. There was nothing he couldn't do or  fix. We had so much fun over the years. I will post pictures later.

Charlie (and Caron) have been wonderful neighbors for many years.  Anytime our grandchildren came to visit he would show up with age appropriate toys for them…even fixed a bicycle for one of them!!
We had many great neighbor dinners at Duffy’s!! 
Charlie will be greatly missed by all!! We send him off with love and lots of wonderful memories!!❤️
