Carole married a sweet loving man named Donald Thomas Meagher, together they had three beautiful children, Chris Driscoll, married to Mike with twins, Chelsea and Steven, Robin Silvani married to Joe with three boys, Dominic, Joey and Danny named after Dani, and their son, David,Meagher and his son Peyton Meagher. Dani loved her kids and her grandkids with all her heart. Family was everything to her. They left New Jersey and moved to South Florida, where the kids and the family grew up, enjoying the sunshine and the warmth. Carole and Donald did divorce and they each remarried.
Carol changed her name to Dani Marr and began working for a Real Estate company called Stadler. Dani was beyond amazing at this job. She became million dollar realtor of the year five years in a row. This is where Dani met the next love of her life Barbara Windham, together they built a life of adventure and love. They enjoyed travel, quiet moments, walking on the beach. They married and extended the family adding Barbara’s children Don Weidenfeld and his two boys, Justin and Jake, son Andrew and his wife, Tracy, and their daughter Kasey.
Dani had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed. She loved to entertain and cook Italian food or anything marvelous. Dani‘s kitchen was always filled with warmth and delicious smells and laughter. She had a special way of gathering friends and family around the table, turning meals into celebrations and visitors into long life friends.
On mom’s adventurous side !! Dani and Barbara took off together, went all over Europe for months! hiking, camping and seeing the country together. After the return to the states they made a move to Carmel, California. They volunteered for the Red Cross driving the Big Erv delivering food to people in need from disasters and to all the first responders fighting those fires and made many friends. They volunteered at the Pebble Beach Concourse de elegance for many years at the Pebble Beach golf course.
Mom wanted to return to South Florida because she missed her family and of course the warmth! They moved to Hutchison Island where they were right on the beach. They enjoyed walks and watching the turtles come in and lay their eggs. They kept an eye on the nest waiting for the eggs to hatch. They would help guide the new turtles to the ocean. They moved to Hobe Sound FL and bought a house with Dani’s flair for design and landscaping they made their house into a beautiful home!
Danny had a green thumb and loved gardening, cooking, and being outdoors. She loved to have friends over to talk laugh and entertain. Mom and Barbara loved to play golf and tennis.
Dani had a wonderful bond with her family and she loved visiting and spending quality time with them. Whenever there was an event, Koko as the grandkids would call her was there supporting them !! Family was everything to Koko!! Beyond her own family, Dani‘s kindness reached far and wide.
At one Christmas time Dani bought toys and dressed up as Santa and on Christmas day she and her sled (police car driven by her son David) went into Liberty City and gave out toys to the boys and girls who had nothing on that day.❤️
After a hurricane hit the Carolinas, Dani and Barbara rented a U-Haul and bought and took donations to the back woods where help had not arrived. They delivered food, water, clothing, and love to so many people in need.
Dani volunteered at Hospice, showing compassion to those in need. Dani was the kind of neighbor who would cook meals if you were not feeling well and would go out of her way to care for an elderly couple down the street bringing them all sorts of goodies just to brighten their day. Her heart of gold left indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Our mom lived her life, defined by love, laughter, generosity, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of caring for her community, friends, and family that will live on in all of us who are blessed to have known her.
Danny found joy in the beauty of the world around her but what she loved most was sharing those moments with people she loved and cared about!
Dani will be deeply truly missed, but we can honor her memory by caring forward her spirit of kindness her joy for life and her love for Barbara, family and friends.
We will miss you, mom, you are forever in our hearts. Thank you for your love and everything you taught us. We love you, mom XOXOXO
