Uncle Dom lived near our family when we first moved to Hawthorne. He was a big part of my growing up years and was always kind to me. I remember his laugh .

So many memories of trips to the beach and adventures with Opa. Trips to the ocean will never be the same without Opa’s childlike joy at the sight of the sand and the waves. 
He was the greatest entertainer. Always making sure all his guests had their glasses and plates full. 
He spent everyday staying as busy as possible. Always working on something, usually in the garage. Everything having a very specific place, and absolutely everything labeled. 

Opa, you will be greatly missed and always remembered. 

As children we were very close, our friendship was excellent.  Many fun  memories at the Jersey Shore.   Easy to be with,  great sense of humor and very kind.  When he moved to Florida even  though we lived about an hour away, we remained very close. A visit to Dom and Maria's house was a   particular pleasure, as well as having them to our house, with as many cousins and family as we could gather.  It was a pleasure  to be with Dom.  The phone calls were frequent and always interesting,  we looked forwarded to  hearing his thoughts.  We will always remember him with love .   Frank Pansari and Marge

When we met Maria and Dom in N.J. in the year1985 it was our second year in America. Both where so helpful to us and without them we would never had such a nice and successful time in N.J. Since than they where our American parents. 
We loved Dom´s humor and his jokes. He had the obsession to prepare everything perfect, that's why I sometimes called him "Mr Perfect"! His car was always as clean as it was new and his tires where always shining. But also in business, he always made his homework. Many times when I
have to make a difficult decision, I ask myself, what would Dom do. 
Thank you for your inspiration and thank you for making us better people.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dom for the past 13 years. My mom and his wife Maria met at a support group for a medical issue they both have.  He was an absolute sweetheart and all around great guy. He always knew how to make people smile. I had the opportunity to take Maria and Dom to their appointments for about two months this year. Some days when I would pick them up Dom would offer me coffee other times it would be wine or beer. Keep in mind most days I would come pick them up at 9 or 9:30.  We had dinner one night at their house and Dom made sure that I had enough to eat. He kept asking me if I wanted more food. He was more than just a friend to me he was a bonus family member.   I hope you are playing golf in heaven Dom.  He will be missed so much by many people.  I love you Dom and I will miss you so much. Love, Ashley Mason xoxo 

Dom was my father-in-law (okay step-father-in -law) but never treated me with anything but respect. I really can't narrow it down to one special memory but if I had to it would have to be our first visit to Florida. He made sure we saw the sights. When we were there my son's glasses broke.  What did Dom do but take off his sunglasses, and let him wear them. That was the kind,loving man he was.

Dom was a wonderful man, and stepdad. One of my favorite memories of Dom is when my brother in law, and I went fishing with him. He was prepared for anything. Dom brought along 4 kinds of sandwiches, coffee, tea, water, beer, and wet wipes. I didn't know a cooler could hold that much. The 3 of us could have survived for a week. Rest In Peace Dom. We Love, and Miss You ❤️😥

Dom, was one of the first neighbors we met as we walked our dog Maggie down the street.  He was always in the garage doing something or working out in is garden in front of the house.  He always had a smile and a warm greeting.  I had a chance to play golf with him a few times and he really loved the game.  He didn't hit the ball a long way, but he was always down the middle.  Over the years we shared many meals together with great stories about his past.  During some of these meals at his house. the one thing Dom always did was to make sure that your wine glass was always full.

Dom we are going to miss you.

Dom, or as I knew him, “Opa”, was my step-grandfather and someone who I can say I have had the greatest privilege in knowing, and the regret of not being able to spend more time with. Even at 89 years old, there was a certain vivacity about him that most of us can only dream of replicating at that age. There was never a new experience he wouldn’t try out, a game of golf he wouldn’t play, or a joke that he wouldn’t tell. 

I always knew him to be a fighter with an undeniable confidence in himself – and the long, fulfilling, life he led as an accountant, father, grandfather, neighbor, and budding humorist for just short of ninety years put that on display for us all.

Rest well, Opa. You’ve earned it.

Dom was one of the first people I met when I moved into the neighborhood.  He invited me to dinner when Hurricane Frances left all of us without power.  He asked this stranger to share his table and was a friend to cherish.  He and Maria have been there to help with any need I had.  

Dom was our dear neighbor.  He was such a kind man and we loved him.  Although he didn't have a pet of his own, he always had a treat for our dog when we walked past his house.  He used to putter in his garage on most days and I would stop and chat with him.  He would always have a smile and make time for me.  And, oh that hair!  What a beautiful head of hair Dom had!  Dom and Maria are very special people in our lives and we will really miss him.
