Edith “Edie” Ann Brabson of Hobe Sound, Florida, died June 24, 2021. Age 75. Loving Mother of H. Scott Brabson (Linda) of Chesapeake Beach, MD. Sara Ann Brabson-Santiago (Felix) of Highland Mills, NY. All previously from Williamstown, NJ. She was an exuberant Grandmother of Katerina, Casey and Felix Jr.
Edie was a larger than life person who loved to give. She was in education for over 30 years. She retired as a Teacher’s aid in Williamstown NJ and after a few short years went back to work helping special needs kids in Florida. She thrived when working with kids. She never let a kid go hungry or without shoes.
Anyone who met Edie knew her heart and her voice were equally loud and large. She loved creating crafts, reading novels, swimming and enjoying a Canadian Club and Coke with her friends. She relished in being around her grandkids. Adventures with them include Dairy Queen, movies, pool, beach and anywhere they could laugh and enjoy life together.
Edie was a devoted caregiver to family members throughout her life. Never turning away when someone asked for help.
She left the following note for all of us: “Just shut your eyes and feel me hug you – I will always be in your heart. Have a drink and a laugh. I am always with you.”
She will be missed by her children and grandchildren.
