
Edna K. Wadas, 89, of Stuart passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Salerno Bay Manor under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice. Born on August 16, 1926 in Bristol, CT, she was the daughter of Stephen and Fannie Kalinoski. She moved to Stuart in 1980, coming from Manchester, CT. Prior to retirement she worked as a dietician for the Veterans Administration for 25 years at Rocky Hill, CT. She was a member of the Roman Catholic faith and had attended St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound. Edna enjoyed golfing and played with the 18th Holers at Miles Grant Country Club. She gave her time to the community volunteering with the Salvation Army and Salerno Bay Manor. Survivors include her sister, Johanna K. Daoust of Stuart; nieces, Sandra Schmitt and Donna Cirullo; nephew, Stephen Daoust; cousin, Terri Polak; great nephews, Stephen Cirullo and Derrick Daoust; great nieces, Breanne Cirullo, Nicole Daoust, Cassandra Schmitt, Mackenzie Schmitt and Sydney Schmitt. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wadas in 1996 and parents, Stephen and Fannie Kalinoski. Memorial contributions in Edna’s name may be made to the Miles Grant Philanthropic Fund, 5101 S.E. Miles Grant Road Stuart, FL 34997. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 12001 Se Federal Hwy., Hobe Sound, FL. Entombment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 South Kanner Hwy., Stuart, FL 34994. Arrangements under the direction of Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill Chapel in Stuart.
