James Alfred Cottle

James A. (Jimmy) Cottle Jimmy Cottle, 72, of Stuart, FL, passed away on September 28, 2015. He was born on February 2, 1943, in Orlando, FL. He graduated from Apopka Memorial High School where he was the quarterback of his football team, and also lettered in basketball and baseball. Jimmy moved to South Florida in the 60s to manage an orange grove and then spent many years farming in the Glades. He spent his entire career working in agriculture. He made many great friends and made a lasting impact on those he met. He was known for his humor and generosity, as well as his love for the outdoors. He spent his free time in the woods or on the water. He shared this love with his wife, children and friends. Jimmy also enjoyed grilling, playing cards, and telling jokes and stories. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cathy, his children Beau, Charlie, and Ashley, his grandchildren Quinn, Delaney and Dawson, as well as his brother Joe. The service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Aycock Funeral Home, Young and Prill Chapel located at 6801 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, FL 34997.
