

Skowronski Jay Joseph, 92 born in Jersey City, New Jersey raised in Hoboken, former resident of Palisades Park NJ for 30 years. He served in the US Army Korean War as an MP from 1953 to 1955. In 1957 married the love of his life Vivian (Greggo) Skowronski and were together for the next 67 years. Worked for Western Electric (ATT) for 33 years, also owned his own business Pandemonium (children’s gifts) in Toms River, New Jersey before retiring to Florida in 1992.
Jay was also known as Jay Renè the Magician in the magic world, as his hobby started at age of 13 in a school play as Merlin the Magician and performed for the next 79 years. Jay served as president, territorial vice president and territorial representative for the International Brotherhood of Magicians New Jersey Ring #106. Also a member of the IBM and the Society of American Magicians, Port Saint Lucie FL chapters.
He is predeceased by his son, Jay S Skowronski, his father, John, mother Josephine Skowronski. and his sister, Helen Lewis. Survivors include his wife, Vivian (Greggo) Skowronski, his sons, Stephen, and Richard Skowronski and grandchildren Frank Skowronski, Nina Lepore, and his sister, Joan Jeffrey, Numerous nieces and nephews and also his dearest friend (like a son) Timothy Ewer.
