

Raymond Oliver Boucher was born in Dighton, Massachusetts on December 2,1932 to Joseph Theode Boucher and Lea Rodier Boucher. He grew up the Taunton-Raynham area. He graduated from Coyle High School in Taunton in 1950.
Ray joined the Navy in 1951 during the Korean War. He was assigned to a heavy cruiser USS Rochester which saw duty in Korea. Ray was honorably discharged in 1955 after serving four years. Upon returning home, he went to work for what was then the New England Telephone Company and after transitions became Verizon where he eventually became a manager.
In 1959 he married Theresa Tupper and they settled in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. They had two sons, Andre and Marcel.
In 1990 Ray retired from the telephone company, and in 1991 Ray and Theresa moved to Florida to be near their sons. Until 2000 Ray worked for Best Com, a business telephone company.
After retiring again, Ray and Theresa settled in the Stuart, Palm City area.
Ray had many interests, hunting, cross-country skiing, playing the electric bass with several bands, sailing his boat in Cape Cod and traveling with his family.
He was a member of the USS Rochester Association, the Korean War Veterans and the Knights of Columbus where he was an honor guard.
He was a communicant of Holy Redeemer Church in Palm City, serving as a Minister of Communion. Later after a move to Stuart he joined the parish of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, his two sons and his daughters-in-law Lisa Hafner Boucher and Jan Mulroy Boucher, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, located at 2100 SE Cove Rd, Stuart, FL 34997, on December 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Committal service will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, FL 33449, on December 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm.
