Robert Como

Born in Rockaway Queens, New York, Bob had previously lived in St. James, New York before moving to the Jensen Beach area 25 years ago.

He studied at the University of Miami prior to joining the New York City Police Department where he retired as a Lieutenant. Bob was also a lifeguard in his younger years, and later was also the Director of Security for the Bronx Hospital Municipal Center for 13 years.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army/Air Corp and proudly served our country in World War II. While in the Army/Air Corp, Bob was a boxer and Aerial Gunner.

Bob was of Catholic faith and a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Jensen Beach, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn M. of Jensen Beach, FL; son, George (Nancy) of New City, NY; son, Robert (Doreen) of Stuart, FL; son, Bill of St. James, NY; grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria, Robert, Michael (Nikki), Brian, Matthew, Jamie, Daniel, Barbara, Jennifer, Linda, Billy Jr. , and Amelia; great grandchildren, Liam, Lilly and Brenton and daughter in law, Nanci of Pennsylvania.

Bob was predeceased by his son, Jim.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida.
