Russell Beckford Dow

Mr. Dow was born in Rockport, Massachusetts, and had previously lived in Bayport, New York before relocating to Palm City, Florida.

He was an air traffic controller and had worked for the Republic Airport in Farmingdale, Long Island for thirty years.

Mr. Dow was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, proudly serving in World War II. He was also a member of the Anchor Line yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eileen C. Dow of Palm City, Florida; his sons, David Dow of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Russell Dow of Jensen Beach, Florida, and James (Lucille) Dow of Miami, Florida; his daughters, Cheryl Wetter of Potomac, Maryland, and Carol Russell of Gloucester, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Jillian, Kristine, Russell, Lindsey, Jacqueline, Michael, Jeremy, David, Matthew, and one great grandchild, Ryan Wetter.

A memorial service will be held on October 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida. A reception will follow at Carmela’s Restaurant, 2311 SE Ocean Blvd, Stuart, FL
