Stewart Doyle Reid was born August 6, 1945, in the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica to parents Charles and Myrtle Reid. After graduating from Mount Herman All Age School, he moved to Kingston to be with his dad on a farm. Then he was offered a job at Hanna's company. Stewart met and married Elaine, started a grocery business, and raised a family in Franklin Town community. Later, he became the President of the Franklin Town Primary School PTA, a FranCODAC board member, and a Justice of the Peace (JP) for his community's development. His interests included family time, swimming, fishing and playing card games, Monopoly and Dominoes. He was an avid reader who has read the Bible several times, the Jamaica Gleaner and the Palm Beach Post newspapers almost daily, and countless novels from libraries. Mr. Reid is survived by his children, son Charles and wife Safiya, son Stuart, daughter Patricia, and son Robert and wife Shauna, and grandchildren, Taj, Samuel and Sariah and siblings, Keith, Sybil, Joyce, Cynthia, Derrick, Audrey, Hazel (deceased), and Patrick and other family members. We was predeceased in death by his wife, Elaine Reid. Mr. Reid was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
