

Mr. Flerx was a highly accomplished automotive teacher for the Board of Education in New York, co-wrote an automotive book and won several teacher of the year awards. He proudly served as an airman third class in the US Navy.
Mr. Flerx was a 54 year member of the Masonic Fraternity and a member of the Acacia Lodge #163. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler and loved spending time singing and dancing with his wife and enjoying his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Mildred; dear father of William (Vanessa), Kenneth (Debbie), Douglas (Laura) and Ellen Flerx; dear grandfather to Jessica, Edward, Lindsay, Kelsey, Miranda, Dillon, Madeline, Jenna and Christian; and great-grandchildren Charlotte and Ashlynn.
Family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Masonic service at 12:00 p.m. followed by a religious service conducted by Rev. Carol Barron, at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill Chapel, 6801 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, Florida 34997. Entombment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 South Kanner Highway, Stuart, Florida 34994.
