Mrs. Carter was born on November 17, 1949 in Stuarts Draft and was a daughter of the late Edgar Watson Boyd, Jr. and Ruby Leola (Wright) Wolfe. She worked as a bank teller for more than 50 years starting with People’s Bank of Stuarts Draft and retired from Carter Bank. Mrs. Carter loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Carter.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Carter is survived by her children, Angie Link of Crimora, Christopher Carter of Stuarts Draft, Kristi Carter Ewing of Mondamin, IA; siblings, R.W. Boyd and wife Diana of Stuarts Draft, Jerry Boyd and wife Deborah of Afton; and three grandchildren, Alexander, Aiden, and Adelyn.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 13, 2022 at 11 AM at Calvary Cemetery in Stuarts Draft with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
