Darrell Wayne “Dee” Bush, 50, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Born July 19, 1972 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Gerald Wayne and Mary Katherine (Weddle) Bush. On March 4, 1995 he married Tonya Renee Knous. The two shared 27 years of wonderful marriage.
Dee was employed with Design Electric, Inc. in Charlottesville where he worked as an electrician. He had a contagious smile that will be missed. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend to many.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya (Knous) Bush of Stuarts Draft; son, Devon Bush and wife, Kristin of Stuarts Draft; brothers, Michael Bush and wife, Sonya of Moneta, VA and Tracy Bush of Staunton; niece, Maggie Bush; nephew, Clinton Baugh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wesley Knous, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Waynesboro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rebecca Lowery and husband, Russell of Stuarts Draft; his beloved grand dog, Kynder; and lifelong friends, Chris and Christel Childress and their two daughters, Felicia and Lindsay.
Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft. All are invited following the visitation to The Fishin’ Pig, 117 Apple Tree Lane, Waynesboro for a time of fellowship and refreshments with the family beginning at 2:00 p.m.
