

Darryl Raye “Doc” Kislek 66, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Waynesboro on October 29, 1948, a son of the late John and Virginia Kislek.
Darryl worked as a correctional officer for 22 years at the Staunton Correctional Center. He loved new technology, working on his gadgets, riding his moped, and a good joke. He collected many items, but he greatly enjoyed collecting coins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Mark Raines and sister, Charrisa Bonnett. Survivors include his loving wife, Thelma Mae; stepson, Marshall Raines; three stepdaughters, Debbie Brumback and husband, Joel, Betty Randall and husband, Dale, and Kimberly Smith and husband, Bubba; three brothers, Carlis Kislek and wife, Patsy, Johnny Kislek, and Jerry Kislek and wife, Linda; his sister, Brenda Pace and husband, Dennis; a special sister–in-law, Martha Campbell; as well as many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Rev. Doug Cox officiating.
