Obituary of Faye Wallace
Barbara “Faye” Wallace, 79, of Stuarts Draft went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 12, 2018 surrounded by family. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother with an infectious laugh and sense of humor that was enjoyed by all that came into contact with her. She loved nothing more than to spend time with family and enjoyed watching the young ones playing around her. She was a fierce fighter that continuously overcame significant health challenges throughout her adult life. Born on December 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late John Woodrow, Sr. and Gertrude (Boyce) Legge. She retired from the food service department of Kings Daughter’ Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, James and Woody Legge; granddaughter, Kelsey Hypes and her unborn great grandchild. Survivors include her husband, Gene Wallace; daughter, Kim Baska and husband, Greg of Stuarts Draft; son, Jeff Wallace and wife, Kathy of Williamsburg; siblings, Pat Holtzman of Stanardsville, Dick Legge of Middletown, Bob Legge of Cross Junction, Doug Legge of Cross Junction, Dave Legge of Staunton, Mike Legge of Middletown and Joy Legge of Middletown; grandchildren, Jaime Marshall and husband, Jeremiah, Jonathan Baska and wife, Katie, Josh Baska and wife, Kati, Kahla Myers and husband, Kyle, Drake Wade and wife, Rachael, Kori Wade and wife, Briana, Kyle Wade and wife, Melissa; grandson-in-law, Cameron Hypes; and nine great grandchildren. A service will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, with Pastor David Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Baska, Jonathan Baska, Josh Baska, Jeremiah Marshall, Cameron Hypes, Kori Wade and Kyle Wade. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank all the nurses, CNAs, and volunteers of Hospice of the Shenandoah for not only their care, but also their love and friendship with Faye.
