Linda Hileman (Alstock) Fisher, 76, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Millboro on January 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Thomas Edgar and Cora (Dean) Alstock.
Linda worked for many years as a cook for the Academy for Staff Development. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. Linda was a devoted and loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her hobbies included going to Charles Town to watch the horse races, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was the heart and soul of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Fisher; siblings, Robert Alstock, Lena Belle Ingram, and Leon Ball and her daughter, Norma Lee (Fisher) Doyle.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters , Teresa Jones and Rhonda Arey; siblings, Thorton Alstock, Cora Marie Sturgill, Ruth Puffenberger and Carolyn Cash; grandchildren, Franklin S. Fisher, Dylan Atcheson, Lacy Arey, and Many See; great-grandchildren, Peyton Mays, Taylor Fisher, Rachel and Cooper See; special friend, Dorothy Ramph; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Augusta Health Cancer Center and the staff with Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for their loving care for Linda and her family.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Riverview Cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
