Mary Kathleen Case

Mary was born in Elida, OH to John and Martha Swartz on May 24, 1943. Mary worked as an LPN for over 40 years, starting at Waynesboro Hospital and retiring after serving several nursing homes in the area. She loved listening to Spirit FM and supported In Touch Ministries and Love Inc.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Case; and a brother, Dennis Swartz.

Mary is survived by her son, Phillip Case of Lyndhurst; a brother, John Swartz (Connie) of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Joyce Showalter (Ralph) of Stuarts Draft; and a sister-in-law, Louise Swartz of Stuarts Draft. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dylan, Catherine, and Logan Case of Staunton; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to nephew Bruce Swartz, his wife Sandi and daughter Hannah for their close assistance and care for Mary.

A celebration of life service will be held at Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship Church at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, with Pastor Bruce Swartz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship Church (P.O. Box 763, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477).
