Maxine Ray Weaver

Mickey was born in Waynesboro, to Ruby and Melvin Eavers on September 7th, 1937. Mickey was a homemaker, successfully raising their family of four. Mickey made a positive and lasting impact by helping raise children in the local neighborhood. In her spare time, Mickey enjoyed baking, teaching Sunday School, doing word searches and puzzles, as well as hustling her great grandchildren in Bingo and Uno. She was a member of the Firefighters Lady Auxiliary for Stuarts Draft, and was a longtime member of White Hill Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her parents, Mickey was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, W.K. Weaver Jr; a great granddaughter, Ada Grace; and a brother, Raymond Eavers.

Mickey is survived by her children, Donnie Weaver of Stuarts Draft, Becky Crawford of Stuarts Draft, Larry Weaver of Stuarts Draft, and Lynn Campbell and husband Glenn of Staunton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy Dyson and husband Jamie, Jennifer Murphy and husband Patrick, Joshua Weaver, Susan Evenson and husband Eric, Kelsey Fortin and husband Nick, Katelin Burke and husband Tyler; great grandchildren, Elyse Dyson, Haven Dyson, Camdyn Dyson, Blake Oliver, Cole Oliver, Emily Oliver, Braeden Evenson, Aubree Evenson, Lettie Fortin, and Lainey Fortin. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Guy C. Eavers and wife Judy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 9th, at 2:00 PM, at White Hill Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Chappell and Pastor Rick Diehl officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Weaver, Blake Oliver, Cole Oliver, Joshua Weaver, Katelin Burke and Patrick Murphy.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad in memory of Mickey Weaver.
