Richard Clark Willett, Jr.

Richard Clark Willett, Jr., 82, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at his home. Born January 15, 1939 in Harden, MT, he was a son of the late Richard Clark Willett, Sr. and Viola (Reno) Willett. On June 10, 1961 he married Mildred Anne Dickey. The two shared a blessed marriage of 60 years. Prior to retirement, Richard was employed by the FBI for over 3o years where he worked as a fingerprint specialist. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Waynesboro. Richard greatly enjoyed nature and taking care of the many rabbits and birds that visited his home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Athanasius Ruf; brother, John Willett; and two sisters, Wanda White and Darlene Larsen. Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred (Dickey) Willett; children, Trena Boan and husband, Robert of Stuarts Draft, Victoria Cravey and husband, Jonah of Portsmouth, VA, Richard Willett, III and wife, Shannon of Bristow, VA, John Willett and wife, Stephanie of Fulks Run, VA, and Sarah Foos and husband, Daniel of Woodbridge, VA; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Karen Taylor officiating. Burial will held at Pine Flats Cemetery, Pine Flats, PA at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Stuarts Draft.
