Walter Glen Stinnett

Walter was employed by Wal-Mart in Waynesboro where were his main job was maintenance. He was a member of the Stuarts Draft Volunteer Fire Department and worked security for many businesses around the area. When Walter wasn’t working, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and hunting; he loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Stinnett and a brother, Stuart Haywood Stinnett.

He is survived by his mother, Lorna J. Stinnett; sisters, Brenda Slusher, Doris Dean, and Gaye Stinnett-Balsley; a brother, Wayne Stinnett; niece, Tasha Dean; nephew, John Morgan Sweet.

Active Pallbearers include, Randy Hewitt, Steven Hewitt, Robert Kelley, Lester Kelly, Shawn Bird, and Paul Bird III.

The family would like to say thank you to the entire staff in the ICU at Augusta Health.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter’s honor to Augusta Health, 78 Medical Center Drive, Fishersville, VA.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00 am at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, Stuarts Draft Chapel with Rev, David Breeden and Charles Ramsey officiating. Burial to follow at Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, Stuarts Draft Chapel.
