

Born October 14, 1962 in Mississippi, he was a son of Edgar E. Taylor and the late Frances D. Taylor.
Chip lived most of his life in Stuarts Draft. He was a carpenter and enjoyed building things from wood. He liked to hunt, fish and go four-wheeling in the mountains. He also enjoyed working on puzzles.
In addition to his mother, Frances; he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Linda Taylor.
Survivors include his father, Edgar E. Taylor (Laura Sandridge) of Verona; two sons, Joey Taylor of GA and Walter Allen Taylor, Jr. of Lyndhurst who attends Stuarts Draft High School; two grandchildren, Payton Grace and Lucus Taylor; two stepbrothers, Stacy Pleasants (Shelly) of Grottoes and Travis Brooks of Stuarts Draft; niece, Kelsey Pleasants; nephew, Austin Pleasants; aunt and uncle, Bet and Tommy Coiner; cousins, Jodi Coiner and Kelly Honeycutt; former wife and mother of his son Joey, Victoria Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren. Burial will be private.
