
Dr. David Arnold Curtis passed away on Monday August 17, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health Services in Brunswick, GA at the age of 76. He was born in Lincoln England on June 17, 1939. He was educated at Durham University where he received his Doctorate in Physics. His career was focused both on research and consultation to manufacturing companies internationally, the majority of the time with Arthur D Little, Booze Allen Hamilton, and Curtis Consulting.
David came to the United States in 1968, where he resided in Lexington MA, Boxborough MA, and Marstons Mills MA, before moving to Saint Simons Island, GA. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Leah Curtis, daughter Helen (Jay) Quinn and sons Stephen Curtis, Jake Nazarian, and Josh (Jaclyn Altman) Nazarian. He is blessed in life, and after, by eight grandchildren; Emily Curtis, Rachel Curtis, Elizabeth Quinn, Sarah Quinn, Catherine Quinn, Jacob Nazarian, Sam Nazarian and Brooke Nazarian. He found great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow and prosper.
David loved to travel and enjoyed capturing his adventures by camera. He also gave back to the community and was actively involved with The American Red Cross. David was always an avid gardener. He was thrilled to join the Family Gardening Club of Saint Simons Island. Over time he expanded to two lots and shared his bounty with friends all over the island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Family Gardening Club, Saint Simons Island; 607 Sixth Avenue, St. Simons Island, GA 31522.
In respecting his final wishes, a celebration of his life will be held this Sunday, August 23rd from 1pm-4pm at Duckett Funeral Home at 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776.
