Jacqueline G. Kessler

She is survived by her wife and partner of 42 years, Caryl Leslie Fox; their daughter, Courtney Elgart and her husband Nicholas Bernard of Washington, DC; and her brother, Dean Kessler and his wife Kathy of Elizabethtown, PA. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Diana Kessler, and her brother, Raymond Kessler.

Jackie grew up in Vermont. She graduated from Cairn University in 1969 and from Boston College with a master’s degree in Social Work in 1984. Her career as a medical social worker spanned almost 50 years.

She worked in hospitals, including as department director, and home health agencies, always striving to obtain the best for patients and their families. This passion for excellence and positive change was also a part of her volunteer work on commissions at her church. Jackie enjoyed her dogs, growing vegetables in her garden, doing small projects around the house, and vacationing in Bar Harbor, Maine.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sudbury United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 12th at 2:00pm. Masks are required. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Habitat for Humanity or Heifer International.
