

Born December 23, 1937 in Newton, he was the son of Joseph C. and Josephine P. (Cardarelli) Vento. Mr. Vento was raised and educated in Newton and has resided in Marlboro for most of his life. He worked for Millipore Corporation for over 35 years until his retirement as Plant Manager in 1993. As an arithmetic aficionado, Ralph’s favorite hobby was following horse races at the racetrack. In his younger years, he played baseball and earned a game record at Newton North High School. More recently, he enjoyed watching football, baseball, and spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of June Ann (Santillo)Vento; devoted father of Michelle Masiello and her husband James of Marlborough, Marcia Winske and her husband Brian of Marlborough, Janice Papia and her husband Michael of Mansfield, the late Ralph P. Vento, Jr.; loving brother of Thomas Vento and his wife Joan of Hudson, Charles Vento and his wife Carol of Newton, Edward Vento of Milford; cherished grandfather of Alyssa Masiello and her husband Robert Klocek of Easton, Allen Winske of Worcester, Christopher Winske of Marlboro, Erica Domingues and her husband Kevin of Boylston; proud great-grandfather of Cameran and Jordan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and good friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, from 4-7PM at the Duckett – J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Route 20), Sudbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Thursday, February 1, at St. Matthias Parish, 409 Hemenway Street, Marlborough. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough.
