Sandi, as she was called then, was the first person I met at the Longfellow Club when I joined in 1995. Her personal warmth beamed out from her welcoming smile. As time passed I was initiated into her legendary hugs. We shared more & more as the years passed. She was there for me in tough times & I tried to be there for her in hers. Though one couldn't tell when she was going through those times as she was always so positive, kind and graciously calm. And always beautiful; elegantly poised and impeccably dressed. As Laury said today- Sandi was the soul of Longfellow. IS the soul as her spirit will permeate the place, reflected in all the people there she touched. We will miss her but know she is happy in Heaven with Pedro. :-)

Seeing Sandie when I walked into Longfellow brightened my day. Every time. She made me - and everyone - feel special. She always smiled and joked, no matter what was going on in her own life. Thanks Sandie for making this world a better place. We will miss you.

No matter what expression was on your face when you entered the Longfellow Club and Sandie was at the front desk, when you locked eyes with Sandie, you were quickly beaming. How could you NOT be? You were looking at a woman with the most welcoming smile and pleasant greeting one could expect from someone! The scenario was repeated as you exited the club later. To simply say she will be missed, is understating it. A sad loss for all of us. My eyes are filling up as I write this. Rest in peace, Sandie. John Hunter

Sandie was one of my favorite people. She had a beautiful soul! She was loving and caring and nurturing and I saw her as another mom. She calmed me down when I was brand new and overwhelmed at the front desk of Longfellow and that’s when our friendship begin. I cherished our get together‘s. I wish I knew her longer and that I met her beloved Pedro. I find comfort in knowing that she’s in a better place now and she’s no longer hurting. I’ll be forever hugging her with my heart.

Condolences to her family, her friends that became family and to all of the acquaintances that loved her presence.
