

A native of Dover, NH and son of James and Corinne (Lambert) Corbett, Steve was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Bridgton Academy, and Boston College, where he was one of the nation’s best and fastest offensive lineman. A Sporting News All American, Steve would go on to play for the New England Patriots as their number one draft pick in 1974.
In recognition of his football career, Steve was an inductee to the Dover Hall of Fame, St. Thomas Aquinas High School Hall of Fame, Bridgton Academy Hall of Fame, and Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame.
Steve later settled in Sudbury to raise his family. Ever the athlete, Steve was a mainstay of the town’s July 4th Road Race and a familiar face on Water Row for his morning walks. He loved returning to Dover and spending summers at York Harbor in Maine and in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Citarella), and daughters, Elizabeth and Stephanie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Steve is scheduled for Sunday, November 9th at Duckett Funeral Home of JS Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA from 12pm-2pm.
