William F Beckett Jr.

William F. Beckett, Jr., of Myrtle Beach, SC died Sun., August 15, 2010 at the Ralph A. Jones Veterans Hospital in Charleston, SC. He was 49. He leaves his parents, William F. and Anita (Greene) Beckett of Ashland; his wife, Carla (Branch)

Beckett of Brookline and his son, Sebastian Beckett, of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Beckett, of New Mexico; his step sister, Terri Johnson, of Georgia; his step brother, Dean Scott, of Marlboro; his aunts , Pearl Meredith of Boston, Brenda Butler of Georgia as well as nieces and nephews. Mr. Beckett was predeceased by his mother, Hope (Reynolds) Beckett. William was raised and educated in Newton. Following high school he served for three years in the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge and continued his education at Berkeley College of Music prior to his career as a musician in the entertainment field. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Greater Framingham Community Church, Franklin and Park Streets, Framingham. Friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 0’clock prior to services. Relatives Interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery will follow at 2:30 o'clock. Rather than flowers, the family suggests that donations in memory of William be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Duckett-J.S.Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, Sudbury.
