Aldo Rubeis of Spring Valley, NY passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020. He was 73 years old. Aldo was born in Villa Sant’Angelo, Italy on February 14, 1947 to the late Anthony and Grace (Raffaele) Rubeis.
Aldo came to the US when he was 17 years old and resided in the Bronx, NY where he met the love of his life, Dorothy Maietta. They were inseparetable from the time they met and eloped on January 30, 1971. Aldo and his wife Dorothy were the life of the party kind of couple. Smiles could be seen and laughter could be heard miles away when they were around. Aldo and Dorothy started a family 10 years later having their first child Michael Dominick and a daughter, Jennifer Grace 2 years later.
Aldo was a hard working man who made a career for himself as an iron worker for local 580. He took immense pride in the fact that he had the opportunity to help rebuild the Statue of Liberty in 1986. He was an extremely patriotic US citizen; loved and appreciated all the opportunities that the US afforded him.
Aldo was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a kind and generous man; humble and accepting of all. He lived by the “work hard play hard” motto and loved everything about life; the good and bad. He lived through music and nature and took none of his blessings for granted. Aldo would not want anyone to be sad about his passing. Instead pour yourself a glass of wine and not only celebrate his life but life itself and all its beauty. Aldo is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Rubeis and is survived by his two loving children Michael and Jennifer Rubeis.
