This was the most magnetic man I've ever none.someone who has went through what I've went through.Andovercame his sorrows his letdowns and was a guiding force for me him and his wife More than I ever thought I was worth two people who I have always thought should have their own child never did and would have been the best parents I loved love always have my aunt and uncle who showed me what real love is and I thank you both you are amazing and you made a difference in my life thank you for being you thank you for finding each other and showing your niece what real love is....you would have made the most amazing parents.im glad I got to feel ur luv I love you both to the moon and back so special to m. I feel so awful that I didn't get a hold of him sooner.  I met Andy because I became interested in the Laurie Kellogg story.  As anyone who knew Andy knows, he was a passionate supporter of our friend Laurie.  I never had the opportunity to met Andy in person but we traded many e-mails and had many long phone conversations.  Another thing that made me feel close to Andy was the fact that my sister also had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  The last time I spoke to him he was fighting it again.  I thought of him just today and decided to look him up.  My fear was realized when I found this obituary.  :-(  Sure wish I would have spoken to him one last time.

I should have written this way back in November but as each day went by I just couldn't do it.  I look at your picture Andy every day with Eva of course.  Your pictures are all over my house!  I have pictures from each year of your lives for the past 27 years since I met you and Eva.  You became the big brother I needed when I was going through such a horrible time in my life, and Eva right behind you.  I met you when I first moved into our apartment right down the hall from you and Eva.  You came into my little kitchen while I was unpacking and told me your testimony - how you had been an alcoholic but you found Jesus and He changed everything in your life! You gave me hope that day and even though I'd been a Christian for a while the days looked very bleak for me a new single Mom with 3 little ones.  You and I may have butted heads on so many different issues but that's what made your friendship to me so important.  I was able to be myself with you and not be judged!  That's a very important element in a relationship.  I could say whatever I felt and get mad or cry and you'd do that same and we'd still be friends the next day!! 
I have so so many memories of our lives for so many years!!  You guys became my families "family".  You used to call my father "Dad" and he loved it.  In fact when I told him that you'd gone to be with Jesus in heaven that the second thing he said - "well I'm sorry honey - he used to call me Dad..." 
I miss how we'd sing together. 
You took your responsibility as my kids God father so seriously and they miss you every day too!! You hold a very important place in their hearts.

And I loved how you'd encourage me to play my guitar though I'd never ever be as good as you are!!  Remember when we had the fire in our building??  We'd all gather each night in our apartment and you'd play and we'd sing to help with the terrible darkness of no electricity!!
 When I moved to Atlanta it was so hard for me to be so far from friends and family and all I'd known for so long but I could always count on phone calls from you all the time.  I don't think a week went by when I didn't hear from you!  And I hate talking on the phone! 
I still can't believe you're not here on earth with us but I know that you're so busy up there doing all God has had planned out for you waiting for the rest of us to get there.  We'll take good care of Eva for you.

I met Andy by mistake when our pet sitting business cards got mixed up.  We met on a phone call & then talked "pet sitting" several times over the past several years.  He was a gentleman, happy & a true man of God!  I feel like I knew him because he was just that kind of person!
This is a great tribute to his life!  Eva, you remain in my prayers.

My one and only brother Andrew. Words can not express my loss that only a brother would know. I hope you knew how much I looked up to you all throughout our lives. Although we were very different and led different paths in life I love and miss you as much as as anything in life. You touched so many lives with your loving spirt. You've made me so proud to be your brother. If there is a heaven as I know through your faith that there is I'm sure God was waiting with open arms to greet you the day you passed. Until we meet again and I hope I make it there with you some day, I am so glad God put you on this earth and to let me part of your life. All my love dear brother. Love and miss you forever. Andy at rest....he fought like a champ....when we all get to heaven...what a day of rejoicing that will be!   Eva all of Maranatha is with you!

Andy will be so missed.Looking at the photos I was reminded of younger days growing up with Andy in Edison,sharing schools and life moments...the time he played at my sister's wedding , a time he gave me a pep talk in and helped me through a dark time. Always a smile for everyone and that voice.....in our selfishness we are sad but I truly believe that wherever Andy is now he's still shining.

Andy had the gift of encouragement and it blessed our lives in countless ways. He was always quick to show the love of Christ every opportunity the Lord gave him. He was one of the kindest brothers in the Lord we have ever known. We love him, and Eva, very much. We miss you, Andy, and look forward to the day we will have fellowship that has no end.

I. Remember Andy as a kid growing up and playing on O'Shea Hill and at the park.  Riding our bikes after the. Bug spray truck and him always laughing.We grew apart for years then out of the blue he contacted me.  I got to reminisce about the old days and hear about his wonderful life with the love of his life, Eva. Over the last 15 years we have had a lot of conversations about our Lord and how wonderful he is.  I cherish the time I got to be friends again with Andy.  May God give you peace and comfort Eva.

Your light shines still and always will in the hearts of the many of us you have touched. My life would not be the same had you not been in it. 
I miss you Andy. I know your struggle was long battling cancer. You fought hard and so many times beat it over the years. I think you knew you wanted to finally be in the loving arms of our Savior, and Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless you and may his countenance shine upon you. You were a great servant and disciple. Andy was like a big brother to me.  I loved him and I knew he loved me.  He was the kindest gentleman  I have ever known.  He was always there  for me to pick me up (both physically and emotionally.  His love for animals was like no other I've seen.  I hope he reunites with all his dog and cat  friends in heaven.  I know he will.    I was so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing.  I have great memories of visiting you all in new Jersey many years ago.  I remember all of the adults would gather in the kitchen and sing songs and we would "kidnap" Andrew[He didn't need much persuading!] and have him play all of our favorite songs while we sang along in the living room. He was so talented! I had so much fun--I could listen him to all night!  And now that I really think back--we were up almost all night!!!  We reconnected via email a while back and he seemed to be very happy with his family and his path in life. I know you will all miss him but I know that my parents and your parents and everyone he connected with here on earth will be delighted to see him again as we all will one day!  Hope by the time I get there I once again get to have a sing along
with my amazing cousin!!  Take care and know that he is always with you!

Uncle Andy, You were truly an inspiration to us all with your faith in the lord and defying the odds and surviving your battle against cancer as long as you did. You did it with great spirit, living life to the fullest no matter how sick you were and most of all fully trusting the  lord with your life no matter the turn out.My faith and trust in god will forever be stronger because of you and how god used you as a tool to bring so many closer to him and keep their relationship stronger. My Dear Andy, For all the wonderful time we spent together. With you in the Army and me being allowed to date at 16. You were my first love. Your sweet and gentle soul always made me feel like I was one in a million. Sunday dinners with my family were always so special. To sit and play your guitar and sing before and after dinner was the best! I was so happy that my dad loved you. And,one of the most memorable moment was on a frigid cold and snowy night that he gave you his NAVY- P Coat and drove you home.How my mom would always count you at our Sunday table and made sure she always made a dish you liked. It meant so much to me, when you came all the way down to be at their service. I treasure every moment we shared together. Eva, has to be an extraordinary woman & wife! You deserve the best. You do not know me but Andy walked my neighbors dog Yvonne in Bon aire upstairs from us.  Bob was just diagnosed with lymphomia and Andy was so nice to come into the house and talk with bob he was so distraught.  Well need I say more Andy told us about himself and was so positive and told bob do not give up. when in the neighborhood always stopped by to see how bob was.  Unfortunately bob did not make it and passed away over 3years ago of course Andy found out and sent me a beautiful card.  That is the type of person and I am privileged to have met him and grateful being there for bob.  Rest in peace Andy you will be greatly missed you touched many people and will not be forgotten.
