Ann T. Richardell a longtime resident of Suffern passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 87. Born October 28, 1932 in New York City to the late Matthew and Hannah (Sullivan) Murtagh. Before her retirement in 1996 she worked as a Registered Nurse for the East Ramapo Public Schools for over 20 years. Locally she was a member of the Montebello and Hillburn Senior Citizens, and a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Adult Care Home in Sloatsburg, NY. She was also a member of the Alumni Association at St. Vincent’s Nursing School in New York City.
Ann was an avid photographer and painter of which she enjoyed immensely. She referred to herself as Grandma Ann and was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ann is survived by three children, Cecilia Herdemian (Paul), Nancy Zupa (Mike), and James Richardell (Laura). Her sister Betsy Baxter and sister–in-law Maura Murtagh. Also survived by her grandchildren, Paul Herdemian (Mathilde), Shauna DiUbaldo, (Rob), Caitlin Rosa (Eric), Megan Dickey (Ryan), Meredith DelVecchio (Chuck), Emma, James and Thomas Richardell. Ann is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren. Jack and Baptiste Herdemian, RJ, Cecilia Grace and Paul Steven DiUbaldo, Tyler, Nolan and Hannah Rosa, Cooper, Sean and Luke Dickey. As well as several nieces and nephews also survive her.
She is predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Helen Reddin (Jack) and brother Matthew Murtagh.
