Dear Lou, Maria & Andrea,

I heard about your Mom and wanted to express our condolences.  My daughter Kelsey still remembers the bowls of candy Aunt Ann always had around her living room.  As a kid I could always count on Aunt Ann to get my wisecracks when they went over the heads of all the other adults.  She will be missed.  Please accept our sincerest sympathies.

Your mom was a lot like my grandfather (her brother,Nick) they were two very special people who always had good things to say about people and always made family their priority. Dear Maria,Andrea,and Louis,

I just heard the news and was completely heartbroken.
Aunt Annie was a true Gem and how she loved your Father.
She would always say "He was a Saint"-I guess that's why they called him Louie the Church.
I have a watch that was given to my parents 11/2/57-I think it was a wedding gift to my father who was the best man.
it was totally restored and I wear it with pride and fond memories.
My wife who never met Aunt Annie saw how sad I was and said -"She is probably very happy now to be with her husband who is gone so long ago.
May you find comfort in the joyous memories of your mom and may she rest in peace.

I can't even begin to express what a devastating loss this is for our family. Aunt Ann was such a fixture in our lives. She was a second mother to me, a constant source of comfort, a smiling face, a caregiver who always shared in our joy and comforted us in our pain. No matter what the occasion, happy or sad, the first Hallmark card in my mailbox was always from Aunt Ann. She would carefully select the most thoughtful saying and be sure to underline certain words so you knew exactly how much you meant to her. I wish I could underline words as I write this tribute, words like; caring, mother, kind-hearted, loving, WORLDS-GREATEST-CLEANER!, generous, joyful, loyal, family.

To my mother she was a sister (sometimes little sister, sometimes big sister), best-friend, confidante, buddy, companion, cheerleader, right-hand man, pair of eyes, side-kick, and other half. They met over 60 years ago, and I don't think a day went by without them talking on the phone or meeting for one of their weekly rituals; a trip the beauty parlor for a wash & set, Saturday Mass at Sacred Heart, or a bagel and coffee at Dunkin' Donuts. No two could ever embody the expression, ‘two peas in a pod' like they could. When times got rough, they picked each other up (sometimes literally) and walked through life side-by-side. They are a testament to the power of friendship. Their bond brought so many people together, and we are all better for it. 

Now, she is finally reunited with her beloved husband. Finally in heaven where she can rest. Free from worry, free from pain, free from those pesky dust-bunnies. I will never forget her love and kindness, her generosity, her big smile, her big heart.
