Anne Van Orden

Anne Van Orden, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at The Valley Hospital in Woodcliff Lake NJ. She was born on September 25, 1932 in Nyack, NY to the late Ada and Edward McGrath. Anne was married to the late Ira Van Orden for 67 years and is survived by her children, Stephen Van Orden and wife Deborah, Diane Van Orden, Susan Osinga, Karen Fazio and husband Edward, Robert Van Orden and wife Marilyn, Kevin Van Orden, Leighanne Radley and husband Donald, Anne Marie Van Orden and is predeceased by her son David Van Orden. Anne also leaves behind her loving sister and brother, Marie DeSimone and Edward McGrath Jr. Anne had 18 grandchildren, Melissa, Daniel, Jessica, Rebecca, Michael, Shawn, Lauren, Sharon, Thomas, Carol, Jonathan, Brittany, Kirsten, Matthew, Dustin, Heather, Ryan, Faith and 12 great grandchildren.

Anne was devoted to her husband and nine children and spent all her time caring for them and provided as an administrative assistant for the family business. She loved listening to Johnny Mathis, playing cards and making roast beef dinners every Sunday after Church. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ira.

Anne will truly be missed. Please join us in celebrating Anne’s life at Wanamaker & Carlough Funerial Home , 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY on March 15 from 10AM to 11AM . A Mass service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 125 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern, NY on March 15 at 11:30 AM. Burial service will be immediately following at the Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY.
